Senior UX Designer

As a Senior UX Designer, you will delight users with designs that inspire, engage and excite them.

You will collaborate with clients, fellow data scientists and engineers to deliver great-looking, usable designs for web applications having advanced data visualizations for enterprise businesses. You will use user-centered design principles to produce high-quality designs.

This position requires one to have a good blend of both interaction design and visual design skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for customer’s enterprise web applications / Impetus’s product(s)
• Create standards, style guides, specification documents to support design
• Present the user interface visually so information is easy to read, understand and find
• You will also play a key role in defining the experiences across the various touch points that the users may interact with, as well as across various devices (mobile, tablets and larger screens)

Required

You must

• Be able to work independently with multiple stakeholders including clients, users and cross-functional teams to understand their expectations, pain points / needs
• Have very good understanding of user research, information architecture, navigation models, interaction design and visual design principles
• Be fully functional with the current releases of Figma / Adobe XD 
• Deep knowledge of typography and grid systems
• Be extremely detail oriented. Strive for pixel perfect implementation on all devices
• Have passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces
• Be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines
• Have excellent problem-solving skills
• Have a portfolio that exhibits user-friendly, highly functional, responsive web design work

Desired

• Good data visualization skills
• Working experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
• Good understanding of color theories. You should know the Pantone® values of your favorite colors

Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in a designer role
• A formal education in Interaction Design, Visual Design, HCI, or a related field is an asset
• Occasional travel may be required, to US and/or within India

A great portfolio of work / samples of design work is a must.
