POSITION PURPOSE
The Technology Procurement Manager is responsible for the enterprise-level optimization of technology procurement and maximizing the value of IDP's technology supplier relationships.
Establishing and managing IDP technology procurement function including the activities, processes, roles, and accountabilities for all IDP Technology procurement, contracts, support, maintenance, and vendor performance management.

Collaborative Teams: Working with other members of the Technology Management Office, Corporate Procurement, Legal, Project Teams and IDP's Technology Support teams oriented toward the adoption of smart technologies and improved processes.
Optimizing Risk: Working with Corporate Procurement, Legal, Risk, Accounts Payable and other members of the Technology Management Office to optimize IDP's approach to managing Technology Vendor Risk.
The focus here is to provide clear policies and processes, allowing you to establish governance and objectively measure and report on vendor management performance. This establishes your authority and confirms your value to the organization.
- Use industry models to baseline and set target state capabilities.
- Create a culture of customer-centricity, quality, trust, and competence. Develop and nurture Technology Procurement team members
- Formally document and socialize not only the mission and scope of technology vendor management for the enterprise, but also who has the organizational and operational authority necessary to execute on it.
- Bring visibility to the value of Vendor and Contract Management by reporting on innovation and collaboration activities, contribution of business value. Develop value propositions that highlight the value of the function. Measure and report on non-adherence to Technology Vendor Policies.
Manage Technology Vendor and Contract Operations
Segment vendors to determine how to allocate resources and align governance across the vendor portfolio. Begin to manage those strategic or critical vendors. Conduct vendor relationship health checks for those critical vendors to measure the relationship against the organization's original deal objectives, and how well these contract terms and objectives align with current and changing business requirements.
- Mature contract life cycle management by implementing advanced contract analytics to handle risk and regulatory changes.
- Manage Technology Vendor Contracts such as monitor contract terms and deliverables, based on segmentation and defined accountabilities.
- Formalize and communicate IDP Technology's Sourcing and RFx processes. Execute Sourcing initiatives in conjunction with Project Teams. Enterprise Architecture and other TMO members.
- Support the identification, assessment, analysis, remediation and monitoring of vendor threats and risks.
- Support developing, monitoring, measuring, and reporting of vendor performance.
- Correct failed activities or functionality by identifying vendor performance issues and analyzing and addressing the root cause. Establish and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage vendor and contract onboarding, transitions, and exits through a formal and structured process.
- Experience in managing the diverse procurement needs of an internal Technology organization for a Global Company. Focus on Software/SaaS and Technology Services procurement.
- Able to cope with a high energy environment with multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- A strong understanding of Technology Procurement process patterns, contracts, typical clauses, and contract structures.
- Experienced in designing outcome-based procurement internal services in the context of technology capability objectives.
- Good exposure and knowledge of technology procurement - in particular experience with enterprise platforms and business solutions software agreements would be highly regarded.
- Strong stakeholder management skills. The executive level communication skills necessary to convince a federated technology organization to adopt an enterprise-optimized technology procurement model.
- Effectively share and synthesize information with others; able to affect decisions and guide stakeholders. Tailor communication and influence style depending on need. Leverages networks to share information and guide outcomes.
- Procurement negotiation experience in multiple technology categories at an enterprise level.
- Strong understanding of Procurement Contracts, appropriate clauses, and execution processes.
- Experience with the Ariba tool including: Sourcing, Contract Management, and Buyer.
- A Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Commerce, Law or similar is desirable.
