We are seeking a qualified and experienced AS400 Service Desk Analyst to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance related to AS400 systems, ensuring smooth operations, and addressing end-user issues promptly. The AS400 Service Desk Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our AS400 environment.
Responsibilities:
AS400 Support:
Provide first-level support for AS400-related issues and incidents.
Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on AS400 systems.
Collaborate with system administrators to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
User Assistance:
Respond to user inquiries and issues regarding AS400 applications and functionality.
Assist end-users in navigating AS400 interfaces and resolving access or permissions-related concerns.
Create and maintain user documentation and knowledge base articles.
Incident Management:
Log, track, and prioritize AS400-related incidents and service requests.
Escalate issues to appropriate teams or vendors when necessary.
Ensure timely resolution of incidents within established service level agreements (SLAs).
Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor AS400 system performance and conduct routine maintenance tasks.
Work with system administrators to implement upgrades and patches as needed.
Perform system backups and restoration procedures.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
Participate in IT projects related to AS400 system enhancements or upgrades."
