Design Engineer- Transmission & Distribution

Role & responsibilities

Idom is currently hiring talented professionals for multiple positions, including Control and Protection Engineer, Physical Substation Engineer, Line Engineer, and Power System Engineer.

• Protection philosophy, PSLD's, Wiring diagrams, CT and VT sizing, Logic Diagrams, Relay Coordination studies, etc.
• Electrical layout, primary equipment specifications, earthing system design, AC & DC systems, sag and tension calculations, general arrangements, etc.
• Route definition, profiling and route alignment, PLS-CADD (proficiency) and tower calculation, CYMCAP (proficiency) cable sizing, component specifications, etc.
• Steady-state and transient studies with DIgSILENT (proficiency), CYME, ETAP and TRV studies with PSCAD (proficiency).
• References: Projects in KSA, US, or the UK
• Functions: Detailed design and technical advisory services

Preferred candidate profile:

The candidate should have a minimum B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-10 years of experience in design consulting.
