Cyber Security Engineer - Firewall/VPN (5-8 yrs)

Job Description :

- Conduct in-depth threat intelligence analysis to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

- Develop and implement effective threat mitigation strategies to protect critical systems and data.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends and best practices.

- Configure and manage intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to detect and block malicious network traffic.

- Analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents.

- Implement proactive security measures to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.

- Conduct thorough digital forensic investigations to gather and analyze evidence in the event of security incidents.

- Respond promptly to security incidents, minimizing their impact and restoring normal operations.

- Collaborate with other security teams to develop and implement incident response plans.

- Perform regular security assessments of network devices, systems, and applications.

- Validate the security configuration of firewalls, IPS, VPNs, and other network devices.

- Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.

- Implement and manage endpoint protection software to safeguard workstations and servers.

- Monitor endpoint security posture and respond to security alerts.

- Ensure business continuity by implementing robust endpoint security measures.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, incident response, and digital forensics.

- Proficiency in using security tools and technologies such as Nessus, Wireshark, NMAP, OpenVAS, OWASP, Burp Suite, Tripwire, Encase, UFED, Access Data Forensic Toolkit (FTK 6.4), F.R.E.D., Axiom, Media Clone, Solo-4, Oxygen Forensic Investigator, and Postman.

- Experience with network security devices, including firewalls, IPS, and VPNs.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH).

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).

- Knowledge of cloud security and security automation.
