Network Protocols Developer - 4G/5G (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for an exceptional 4G/5G RAN Protocol Developer to take on a Technical Lead role in designing, developing, and integrating innovative 5G NR protocol software solutions. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional with a passion for cutting-edge wireless technologies and a proven track record in LTE/5G NR RAN protocol development.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle: design, implementation, verification, and integration of 5G NR protocol software.

- Drive system performance improvements with a strong emphasis on quality, reliability, and efficiency.

- Oversee and mentor development processes, ensuring compliance with software design principles, coding standards, and industry best practices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.

- Conduct comprehensive code reviews and provide technical guidance to the development team.

- Analyze and debug gNodeB issues, including log file analysis and troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Expertise :

- 7+ years of experience in the Wireless/Networking domain with proven expertise in LTE/5G NR RAN protocol software development.

- Extensive hands-on experience in LTE/5G NR Layer 2 protocol design, implementation, and optimization in compliance with 3GPP specifications.

- Strong programming and debugging skills in C/C++.

- Solid knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP) and related concepts.

- Proficiency with software tools such as Git (version control) and JIRA (project management).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- In-depth understanding of Layer 2 interfaces with Layer 1 protocols (e.g., FAPI).

- Experience in real-time embedded systems development for wireless communication.

- Familiarity with simulation tools, test environments, and automation frameworks.

- Knowledge of NVIDIA cuBB architecture will be an added advantage.
