Position Overview :
This role is primarily focused on leading the Product Management function (70%), while also overseeing and providing strategic guidance to the Customer Service (IS) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions (30%).
The ideal :
- Candidate will drive product strategy, ensuring market alignment and successful product launches, while also optimizing operational efficiency in the Customer Service and Supply Chain areas to support overall business objectives.
Objectives :
- Develop and communicate a clear product strategy and vision that aligns with the company's objectives.
- Oversee the management of the product portfolio, including defining the product roadmap, prioritizing projects, and aligning them with market needs and business objectives.
- Calculation and price positioning for local main catalogue and locally sourced items.
Responsible for close:
- Cooperation with the PM department in the headquarter to create a specific product line for the local market.
- Regular review, management, and correction of stock levels assortment.
- Oversee the launch of products/catalogues, working closely with sales and marketing teams to develop go-tomarket strategies.
- Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of products in the market, using data and customer feedback to drive improvements and optimize product offerings.
- Oversee the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and components for products.
- Selection and development of appropriate suppliers, their negotiations and contract management.
- Handling of annual bonus and commission payments.
- Scheduling, order transaction, supervision of deadlines, list price and cost calculation.
- Responsibility to train colleagues. Customer and distributors: implement training concepts, create training content, and conduct trainings.
- Oversee the Inside Sales department, ensuring alignment with product strategies and sales goals to optimize customer interactions, lead generation, and sales conversions.
- Implement processes and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Inside Sales team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (master's degree preferred).
- Extensive experience in Product Management including a proven track record of successful product launches.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Product management, with significant experience in process management, Supply chain, sales, and sourcing within the tooling industry.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and industry best practices.
- Project management skills are highly valuable.
Work Environment:
- This position may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers, customers, and team members at different locations.
- The role is primarily office-based but may include some time spent in the field understanding requirements for local sourcing, Technical product specifications required to enhance Sales & Operations at the forefront.
