Business R&D Communication Specialist

Business Information:

Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centers of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents. Electrical design engineers develop the next-generation technologies in HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) that enables transmission of energy over long distances which provides billions to access electricity. Power Electronics Semiconductor Valves form the backbone of the High-Power Converter used in this application.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for internal and external audiences to discover our global R&D activities in written texts as well as interactive events.

• Architect communication channels to R&D stake holder and internal organization.

• Collect R&D progress, Achievement and events across the organization and locations and compile them for reports and newsletters appealing to different audiences.

• Support Portfolio manager, Program managers and Technology line managers in review of communication materials for important events and meetings.

• Own and manage internal communication channels MS teams, Viva engagement and external channel such as LinkedIn.

• Support writing high profile job position to reach bigger audience.

• Support organization for global R&D events, presentation to external stakeholders.

Your Background:

• 2-5 year experience in communications role.

• Excellent storytelling skills, both written text and visuals such as power points.

• Passionate about science and technology topics.

• Strong prioritization, organization, event planning and project management skills.

• Dynamic & detail-oriented with can-do attitude and work with deadlines.

• Team player and social skills.

• P roficiency in both spoken & written English language is required .
