Histopathology Lab Technician

Role & responsibilities

• Receiving specimens, checking correct labeling and sample quality including the fixative used. Ensuring adequate clinical information in the accompanying requisition form. Numbering the specimen and entry in the respective registers. Putting up stained slides and forms for reporting. Ensuring timely reporting, typing and dispatch of reports.
• Ensuring prompt processing and reporting of frozen sections.
• Meticulous filing, maintaining records, generating data as per requirements of quality objectives of the department.

Preparation of solutions, buffers distilled water and different stains.

Technicians are responsible for blood collection and data entry as and when required.
