Account Manager - Retail IT Services
- We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Manager to join our growing team.
- In this critical role, you will be responsible for building and nurturing strong client relationships, driving business expansion, and ensuring client satisfaction within the dynamic retail IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at existing and prospective retail clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance and expert consultation on IT and digital transformation initiatives.
- Proactively identify and address client needs and pain points.
Business Development & Growth:
- Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition, upselling, and cross-selling of IT services.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities within the retail sector.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets and exceed client expectations.
Client Engagement & Satisfaction:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Ensure successful delivery of projects and services, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Proactively manage client escalations and resolve issues effectively.
Solution Delivery & Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e. , sales, delivery, engineering, consulting) to develop and deliver tailored solutions that address client business needs.
- Ensure seamless coordination and communication across all stakeholders.
Financial Management:
- Manage the financial aspects of client accounts, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and pricing.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress towards achieving revenue and profitability goals.
Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership:
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in retail IT, digital commerce, and enterprise applications.
- Develop and share industry insights with clients and internal teams.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of successful experience in IT and digital services sales, with a strong focus on the retail industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the retail industry, including key business challenges, technology trends, and competitive landscape.
- Proven expertise in selling and delivering IT services such as cloud computing, application development, data analytics, and digital transformation.
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications, including CRM, ERP, and e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop winning strategies.
- Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on both new business -development and account growth.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain - strong relationships at all levels.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve client issues effectively.
- Metrics-driven approach to account management, with a focus on achieving measurable results.
- Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
