Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of 27 reporting professionals, including analysts, data specialists, and business intelligence experts.
- Develop and implement a vision and strategy for the reporting function aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Facilitate team training and ensure continuous skill development in business reporting tools and techniques.
2. Business Reporting Strategy:
- Define and implement the reporting strategy across key business functions (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc.).
- Develop and refine business intelligence (BI) dashboards, executive summaries, and operational reports.
- Ensure that reports provide valuable insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership, helping guide strategic decisions.
- Lead initiatives to standardize, automate, and improve the efficiency and quality of reporting processes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of business KPIs, financial metrics, and performance drivers to ensure reports are aligned with business needs.
3. Data Governance & Quality:
- Oversee data integrity and ensure that all reports and analyses are accurate, consistent, and reliable.
- Develop data validation protocols and ensure the team adheres to these protocols to ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT, data governance teams, and other stakeholders to improve data management practices.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations as it relates to business reporting.
4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnerships:
- Work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and key stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver relevant business insights.
- Act as the liaison between the business and IT or analytics teams to ensure the technical implementation of reporting solutions meets business requirements.
5. Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Continuously evaluate existing reporting processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains.
- Lead initiatives to modernize reporting tools, leveraging emerging technologies, data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and AI-based analytics tools.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance reporting capabilities and drive better decision-making across the business.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).
Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in business reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in managing and developing large teams (27+ members).
- Strong background in business reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP, QlikView, etc.).
- Experience in financial and operational reporting, including creating executive-level presentations and insights.
Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions to drive business growth.
- Deep understanding of business KPIs, financial performance metrics, and operational drivers.
