Senior Designer

Purpose of the Job

We're seeking a Senior Designer to lead digital and print creative solutions for marketing and business development, requiring expertise in graphic design, layout, and marketing project execution from concept to production, including brochures, presentations, and websites; the ideal candidate will generate concepts, conduct research, and deliver commercially focused designs, working independently while collaborating with the Head of Brand Creative, and possessing strong presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas to internal and client teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee design projects, from conception to delivery
• Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics
• Able to think laterally, creating multiple solutions to a given design/marketing brief
• Review junior designers work to ensure high quality.
• Provide a framework for them to grow and develop
• Understand and deliver a best practice approach to creative projects
• Be proactive, inquisitive, and challenging at all times
• Be self-motivated and able to manage creative projects from brief through to production
• Apply typography techniques
• Refine images, fonts, and layouts using graphic design software
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects
• Liaise with marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met
• To be a respected, valued, and trusted part of the creative team
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools. Be across design trends to make sure the most relevant ones are being used
• Develop & maintain a strong relationship with internal and client teams and consistently strive to exceed their expectations.
• Develop and continue a good understanding of client brands
• Manage client expectations and build a reputation for creativity
• Support other team members in the pursuit of delivering the highest standard of service to the client
• Gain trust, authority, and respect from the client at all times
• Challenge current ways of working/processes to work more efficiently and effectively
• Challenge creative briefs and timings where necessary to make sure work is delivered on time and to the brief
• Attend and be punctual to all relevant meetings with the client and internally
• Be proactive with day-to-day creative decisions
• Maintain composure under pressure
• Take full accountability for your work to ensure that deadlines are met, and implementation is to a high standard

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• Proven work experience as a Senior Designer, Graphic Designer, or similar role
• Display a good understanding of print, production, repro, and digital media, including costs
• IT literate and fully conversant with Adobe CC, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere would also be preferable
• Know and understand the clients organisation and market
• Ability to juggle numerous tasks at once and deliver them all effectively
• Ability to delegate work to achieve the best results
• Ability to coach and develop members of the team
• Knowledge of artwork and the production process is essential
• Work as a strong team player
• Good planning and organising skills
• Display confidentiality at all times with regards to HH Global and client business
