Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Automotive design experience, particularly who works in truck systems/ sub systems/ assembly design.

2. Designing of new products and/or supporting designs like tooling/ fixture design which related of Automobile design using engineering principles

3. Execute design to engineering standards convert them into manufacturing drawings as per ISO standards (Sound knowledge of GD&T is required)

4. Good hands-on experience in Solid works 3D modelling, Assembly, Drafting & Wiring harness 

5. Works as a part of a team to deliver technical solutions

6. Works with the customers and/or technical leaders to ensure that the technical deliverable are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects, or initiatives

7. Seek mentoring to learn and solve problems

8. Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction, and service support

9. Communicates with other teams and supervisors and presents the reports & work status.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Skills:

1. Automotive design experience.

2. Solid works 3D modelling

3. Driveline and power pack integration.

4. Design for Assembly, Design for Manufacturing & Design for Service skills.

5. Sheet metal domain

6. Mechanical items design.

Desired Criteria:

1. Automotive truck design.

2. Auto parts development design.

3. Hands on experience on Solidworks 3D modelling and 2D drawings

4. Good analytical and comprehension ability

5. Knowledge of E-Driveline integration.

6. Knowhow of the Chassis design.

7. Sheet metal domain will be added advantage

8. Understanding on GD&T, Fits, Drawing standards
