Jewelry Designer/Artisan

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development: Create innovative and unique jewelry designs, focusing on gold and silver rhodium-plated pieces, while staying updated on current trends and customer preferences.
• Craftsmanship: Use your expertise in metalworking, stone setting, and finishing to handcraft or supervise the production of high-quality jewelry.
• Prototyping: Develop prototypes and samples for new designs, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and wearability.
• Material Selection: Collaborate with the procurement team to select appropriate metals, stones, and other materials for each design.
• Customization: Work closely with clients on custom orders, understanding their needs and translating their vision into tangible pieces.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all designs meet company standards for durability, finish, and aesthetic appeal.
• Collaboration: Partner with the marketing and sales teams to align designs with brand identity and target market demands.
• Innovation: Research and experiment with new techniques, tools, and technologies to push creative boundaries and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Jewelry Designer/Artisan, preferably with expertise in gold and silver rhodium-plated jewelry.
• Strong artistic and technical skills in jewelry design and metalwork.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Rhino, CAD, or other jewelry design tools) is a plus.
• Knowledge of gemstones, settings, and rhodium plating processes.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• A portfolio showcasing your previous jewelry designs and craftsmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal education or certification in Jewelry Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Experience working with high-end or luxury jewelry brands.
• Knowledge of sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
