The role is 100% remote. We offer competitive compensation and 28 leave days annually.

Role and Responsibilities :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails (RoR) and Next.js, with a primary focus on front-end development. As part of our dynamic engineering team, you will design and build scalable, user-friendly web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about crafting intuitive, high-performance interfaces while also having the ability to contribute to back-end development.

- Lead the development of high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails for back-end and Next.js for frontend.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create seamless and visually appealing user experiences.

- Take ownership of front-end architecture, ensuring modularity, maintainability, and scalability.

- Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices (i.e., TDD/BDD, CI/CD).

- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.

- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in full-stack and front-end development.

- Collaborate on API design and integration with the back-end systems.

Desired candidate profile :

- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development with a strong focus on front-end engineering.

- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Next.js, with a track record of delivering production-quality applications.

- Deep understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Next.js) and their ecosystem.

- Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Tailwind CSS, and responsive design principles.

- Experience with front-end performance optimization techniques and tools.

- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and GraphQL.

- Familiarity with database systems (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached).

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualification :

- Experience with testing frameworks like RSpec, Jest, or Cypress.

- Familiarity with TypeScript.

- Background in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and tools such as Figma or Sketch.

- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
