Key responsibilities
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand release requirements.
Participate in release planning meetings to gather information on release scope, features, and timelines.
Assist in creating release plans and schedules including entry and exit criteria.
Work with Engineering and operational teams to ensure that all necessary components are ready for release.
Coordinate activities related to release deployments and communicated effectively with all stakeholders, including coordinating User Acceptance testing with positive test confirmation and feedback.
Monitor release progress and address any issues that may arise during the release process. Communicate release status, issues, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date release documentation, including release notes, deployment instructions, and versioning information. Create and manage release-related documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain version control of all releases and software to track changes and updates throughout the development lifecycle.
Maintain a comprehensive and up to date Evergreening schedule.
Verify that the release meets quality standards and address any issues identified during testing.
Identify areas for process improvement in the release management process.
Qualifications and skills
Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a combination of Software or Hardware Asset Management, Software ifecycle, Risk Management, Quality Assurance or Compliance function in a Pharmaceutical/Consumer Healthcare environment.
Knowledge of Tech support processes, such as ITIL
Release Planning -
o Cascade the published Release Plan to interested stakeholders and establish a communications flow to keep stakeholders informed of progress against the plan.
Release Governance -
o Facilitate the relevant Stage Gate meetings, recording outcomes, actions, and decisions as appropriate in conjunction with the Demand & Portfolio Experts.
Go / No-Go & Cutover Tracking -
o Track and report on progress with preparation for go-live.
o Provide oversight to the Technical & Service cutover plans produced within the Value Streams and guide on best practice / expectations where necessary.
o Track and report on progress with cutover activities.
