Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with extensive experience in developing Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS). As a PHP Developer specialized in HIMS, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web-based applications tailored specifically to meet the needs of healthcare institutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and secure web-based applications for hospital information management systems using PHP, MySQL, and other relevant technologies.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including healthcare professionals, system analysts, and quality assurance teams to gather requirements, analyze needs, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

3. Customize and enhance existing HIMS modules to meet the unique requirements and workflows of different healthcare departments such as patient registration, appointment scheduling, electronic medical records (EMR), billing, and inventory management.

4. Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and modules as needed to enhance system functionality and interoperability with other healthcare systems.

5. Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of HIMS applications.

6. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in healthcare IT and PHP development to continually improve system architecture and functionality.

7. Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain HIMS applications in production environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and data security.

8. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the development team.

9. Adhere to software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and reusable codebase.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or MCA or BCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Proven experience (2 - 7 years) in developing web-based applications using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.

3. Demonstrated experience (2 -7 years) in designing, developing, and implementing Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS) or similar healthcare software solutions.

4. Strong understanding of healthcare industry standards and regulations such as HIPAA compliance, HL7, DICOM, and ICD-10 coding will be preferred.

5. Proficiency in using PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter to accelerate development and ensure code maintainability.

6. Solid knowledge of relational database design, optimization, and SQL query optimization techniques.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

8. Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

9. Certification in healthcare IT or PHP development is a plus.
