Job Description

Overview:

Seeking talented and experienced Data Analytics Project Manager to lead and drive our cloud-based data engineering projects within our Information Analytics Practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of cloud-based data technologies, and a passion for delivering high-impact data solutions. Looking for someone having work experience with mid-tier to top-tier IT services companies in India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex data analytics projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their data needs, translate requirements into actionable project plans, and provide regular updates and insights on project progress.
• Team Management: Build and lead project teams consisting of data engineers, data analysts, and other relevant experts. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Cloud-Based Data Engineering: Leverage expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to design, implement, and optimize data engineering solutions, including data ingestion, storage, and transformation processes.
• Risk Management: Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues that may impact project timelines and deliverables.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality of project deliverables by implementing best practices in data engineering and analytics, and by conducting thorough testing and validation.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, technical documentation, and client communications.
• Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets and resources effectively, monitoring expenses and resource allocation to ensure optimal project performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in data analytics or data engineering projects.
• Strong background in cloud-based data engineering, with expertise in platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and / or scrum master certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, streaming analytics etc) is advantageous
