Role :
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join the Gravity ONE team. As a DBA, you will manage and maintain our database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. You will work closely with our data engineering and development teams to support AI-driven solutions and ensure that our databases run efficiently in production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and optimize database systems for high availability and performance.
Create scalable, secure, and efficient database architectures.
Monitor and enhance database performance, including query optimization and indexing.
Implement and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure database security with access control, encryption, and compliance measures.
Diagnose and resolve database-related issues quickly and effectively.
Work with development teams to optimize database usage and integration.
Regularly apply database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and scalability.
Technical Skills:
Administer and optimize relational and NoSQL database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.).
Optimize queries, indexing strategies, and overall database performance.
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Ensure database security with access control, encryption, and compliance measures.
Diagnose and resolve database-related performance or connectivity issues.
Work closely with development teams to optimize database integration and usage.
Apply database upgrades, patches, and migrations as needed.
Automate administrative tasks to improve database efficiency and scalability.
Education Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
Experience : 3-5 years of experience in database administration, ideally in cloud-based and large-scale database environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in database management systems (e.g., Oracle Certified DBA, AWS Certified Database - Specialty).
Experience with database clustering, replication, and sharding.
Experience with cloud database technologies and management (AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure SQL).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) tools such as Terraform for database provisioning and management.
