Broadcast IT Engineer

The Broadcast IT Engineer is an important member of the IT Network team. He/she is responsible for successful set-up and management of IT networks. Outline of responsibilities are:

• Manage operational IT Networks (Hardware and Software support) for our customers

• Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems

• Establish networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards

• Install and test new facilities and equipment

• Analyse and rectify technical faults on equipment and systems

• Ensure SLAs are met

• Responsible for setting up, operating equipment and transmission of links during broadcast

• Knowledge of Audio Video cards is beneficial

Qualifications:

• P reference will be given to a candidate from a broadcast/ media background

• Adherence to punctuality and discipline is critical

• Adeptness to work in a rotation of shifts

• Aptitude to self-learn and initiative to tale up new challenges

• Go-getter with a positive and result oriented attitude

• Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic and challenging environment on a daily basis

• Good oral and written communications skills are required

• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a time sensitive, high-pressure environment is essential
