Lead - GST/Payable

GST Compliance

1. Review and reconcile GST invoices for B2B and other customers

2. Collaborate with internal teams to gather transaction data and rectify discrepancies.

3. Ensure compliance with GST laws and regulations specific to the travel sector.

4. Maintain organized records for audits and provide support during inquiries.

5. Communicate with stakeholders to address queries and provide guidance on GST matters.

6. Assist in enhancing automation and efficiency in GST reconciliation processes.

7. Prepare reports on reconciliation activities and recommendations for management review.

8. Stay updated on changes in GST laws impacting the travel industry.

9. Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate GST transactions.

10. Assist external auditors during GST audits.

11. Support management with GST-related financial information and analysis

12. Prepare and submit GST returns accurately and on time.

Payables related exposure

1. Complete end to end understanding of the payable process

2. Good understanding about the checks and controls

3. Prior exposure of 2 way and 3 way checks

4. Vendor bills and employee travel expenses verification, MIRO and MIGO understanding

Qualifications and experience

1. Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. With 5-8 years’ experience

2. Previous experience in GST reconciliation or indirect taxation, preferably in manufacturing industry

3. Strong understanding of GST laws, regulations, and compliance requirements

4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reconciliation.

5. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.

6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

7. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and B2B clients.

8. Certification or training in GST reconciliation and taxation is a plus..
