Job Purpose: The Assistant Manager- Regulatory Reporting will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all regulatory data submissions, including Credit Information Company (CIC) reporting. The role involves policy management, audit data query resolution, data quality improvement, process automation, and acting as a key liaison with CICs to enhance the efficiency of regulatory reporting. This position requires close collaboration with technology, operations, and compliance teams to streamline reporting processes and drive automation initiatives. This role is critical for ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing data quality, managing CIC interactions, and driving automation in CIC reporting to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Role

• Develop, implement, and maintain the CIC reporting data policy to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of CIC and other regulatory reports in line with RBI/NHB guidelines.
• Monitor and improve the Data Quality Score (DQS) for CIC reporting, identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
• Lead automation initiatives for CIC reporting, working with technology teams to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Act as the BI SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for Credit Information Companies (CICs) to facilitate reporting discussions, dispute resolution, and compliance-related queries.
• Work with internal teams for data challenges and queries for regulatory audits from RBI, NHB, and other regulatory bodies.
• Prepare and present senior management reports (Management Council decks) on regulatory topics as mandated by authorities.
• Collaborate with technology, operations, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of regulatory reporting processes.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and proactively align reporting policies and processes accordingly.

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor's degree (Preferably in Science / Computer Science / Information Systems / quant or related field but not mandatory)
• MBA in Finance / Risk Management / Business Analytics / Information Systems / Operations Management / Compliance & Governance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the banking/NBFC sector with a focus on regulatory reporting, compliance, or data governance

Essential skills

• Regulatory Expertise: Strong knowledge of CIC reporting guidelines, RBI/NHB regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Data Accuracy & Governance: Experience in data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, and issue resolution.
• Automation & Process Improvement: Ability to manage automation projects in CIC reporting using SQL, ETL tools, or BI platforms.
• Stakeholder Management: Experience in working with cross-functional teams (technology, operations, compliance) and engaging with CICs for dispute resolution and reporting improvements.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret large datasets, resolve data discrepancies, and drive process improvements.
• Presentation & Reporting: Proficiency in preparing regulatory reports, dashboards, and senior management presentations using Excel, SQL, and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting and compliance requirements is plus.
