As a Strategy Manager, youll drive strategic growth initiatives, manage cross-functional collaborations and support M&A activities. Your role involves shaping company direction through research, analytics and innovative solutions, ensuring business sustainability and expansion in the chemicals industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Collaborate with the Strategy Head, business and function leadership to formulate and implement growth strategies ensuring business sustainability and scalability
Conduct research to identify new business opportunities, assist with segment/product ideation and monitor industry trends, competition and emerging market segments
Provide strategic insights through periodic/quarterly competitive analysis and share relevant information, reports and studies
Act as a liaison between the Strategy Head and key departments (operations, finance, marketing, HR and technology) to ensure smooth strategy execution and report progress quarterly
Utilise dashboards and analytics tools to support senior management in investment decision-making
Lead and contribute to special projects, including strategic initiatives, process improvements and operational efficiencies
Support M&A activities from due diligence to successful deal completion, including collaborations, joint ventures, technical tie-ups and IP purchases
Develop a thorough understanding of the company s businesses, technologies and segments to contribute to new initiatives and opportunity identification
Build relationships with external institutions and organisations, including the Big 4 and consulting firms, to identify and support new initiatives
Who are we looking for?
Education :
MBA with a Bachelors degree in Chemicals (e.g., B.E., MSc).
Experience :
4 6 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or related fields, with a strong preference for candidates with prior exposure to the chemical industry
Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, strategic planning and hands-on execution/operational roles, complemented by exceptional intellectual capacity and a strategic mindset
Experience in M&A processes, including financial analysis, due diligence and post-merger integration, is highly desirable
