Job Title: Manual Test Engineer (Domain: Instrument Cluster, Embedded System Engineering)
Responsibilities:
Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on system requirements and design documents Execute manual tests to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of the instrument cluster and embedded systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system behavior and define appropriate test scenarios Utilize domain knowledge in Instrument Cluster and Embedded System Engineering to provide insights and recommendations during the testing process Use tools like JIRA for test case management, bug tracking, and reporting Demonstrate a good understanding of CAN (Controller Area Network) and its application in embedded systems testing Proficiently use Vector CANoe for testing, analysis, and simulation of CAN-based systems Utilize PuTTy for accessing and configuring embedded systems during testing Familiarity with E-sys (additional plus) for diagnostic and programming activities related to instrument clusters Run automated scripts to support and enhance the manual testing process Conduct effective debugging of issues to identify root causes and provide accurate defect reports Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of identified issues Document test results, defects, and other relevant information in a clear and organized manner Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in manual testing and embedded system engineering Contribute to process improvement initiatives and drive continuous enhancement of the testing practices
Qualifications and Skills:
Work Experience : 0-2 years
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Proven experience as a Manual Test Engineer or a similar role Strong understanding of Instrument Cluster and Embedded System Engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA for test case management and bug tracking Good understanding of CAN (Controller Area Network) and its application in embedded systems Proficiency in using Vector CANoe for testing, analysis, and simulation of CAN-based systems Familiarity with PuTTy for accessing and configuring embedded systems Knowledge of E-sys (additional plus) for diagnostic and programming activities related to instrument clusters Ability to run automated scripts and leverage automation tools to enhance testing processes Excellent debugging skills to identify and isolate issues during testing Scripting knowledge in Python is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Proactive attitude with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth
