As a structural data modeler, you should be able to design models that reduce data redundancy, streamline data movements, and improve enterprise information management.
A solid theoretical and conceptual understanding of various Data Modelling Techniques.
Able to efficiently catalog the current data assets and sources across different platforms, build and share data models, and track end-to-end data lineage, across different type of structured and unstructured data sets.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with physical and relational data-modeling and ETL concepts in enterprise environments.
Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.
Ability to write PERL / PYTHON scripts with understanding of XML and JSON.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Experience with team management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Exposure to one or more of data modelling tools (Graph DB, ER/Studio, Erwin Data modeler, Archi, TOAD DM or any other Open-source tools)
Exposure to one or more of data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau etc. is an added advantage
Exposure to Big data platforms like Splunk is an added advantage
