Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and passionate WordPress Developer to join our IT team! As a WordPress Developer at our company, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems.
Here is what you will be doing:
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality
- Establishing and guiding the website s architecture
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
- Conducting website performance tests.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
- Conducting WordPress training with the client.
- Monitoring the performance of the live website.
Here is what we look for in you:
- Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- A knack for bench-marking and optimization
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced and agile development environment.
