Manager - Finance & Accounts

Role & responsibilities

• Timely and accurate closure of monthly books of accounts of and presentation of PL and BS (Control and knowledge of each and every item in PL and BS) - Both Corporate office as well as Consolidated including all subsidiaries
• Timely control on Ageing - Receivables and Payables, Accurate provisioning & Prepaid, Capex accounting, RPT reco, Inter div Reco, BRS, Expenses scrutiny, One time and exceptional expenses / incomes reporting, cash transaction control.
• Complete Control on entire GCL trial Balance including subsidiaries
• Accurate Capex Accounting with all due costs capitalized, depreciation calculations, CWIP control and monitoring, Physical verification periodically
• Timely submission of Accurate MIS reports along with complete explanations, after proper review, including those of Plant and Subsidiaries MIS.
• Active participation in budget preparation, closure and implementation with further monthly controls in MIS and transactional operations.
• Monthly rolling forecasts for Plants, Sales, with Profit and loss and BS forecast (12 months Rolling Forecasts)
• " - Coordination with Plant controlling teams to ensure that the work and SAP procedures are strictly and transparently followed at entire GCL level, including subsidiaries teams
• Controlling Master Data in SAP for entire GCL group regarding Item master, Customer master, Vendor master and Chart of Accounts."
• Coordination with plant controlling teams & ensuring control on the plant material accounting, production cost and analysis, preventive controlling and correction in time, Inventory controlling, Variance analysis, Cost Analysis, Efficiency reporting, Accounting Vs costing effects; (Through Costing team)
• Timely and accurate statutory compliances at GCL level, ensuring compliances at plant level, wherever applicable
• Monthly TDS calculations, Return assistance, Monthly GST - Sales and Purchase reco with books, tax process compliances of all types
• This includes attending and assisting in audits, assessments related to taxes, legal cases etc.
• Timely and accurate statutory reporting
• Clean and timely Audit closure without any mistakes with proactive approach, coordination with Plants and Auditors (Stat Audit/ Tax Audit/ Internal Audit/ Process Audit/ stock audit / Cost Audit and any other audit)
• Positive initiation and adoption of SAP Processes, ensuring proper use of SAP and other digital platforms, New Processes validations and implementation - applicable at entire GCL level including subsidiaries
• Insurance renewals in time with proper premium cost control - with Continuous monitoring and action
• No risk of slow and non-moving inventory, expired inventory, damaged inventory resulting in financial losses with Continuous monitoring and action
• Control over financial costs - WC finance cost and LT financial costs with Continuous monitoring and action
• Strict monitoring of expenses / gains / losses in international transactions - use of hedging and derivatives with Continuous monitoring and action

Understanding and implementation of Internal Financial Controls set by Corporate in Plants with strict adherence of the same.
