Key Responsibilities:
- System Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components according to the organization's requirements.
- Maintenance & Monitoring: Regularly monitor system performance, security, and capacity. Perform routine maintenance, and apply updates and patches to keep systems secure and current.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Promptly troubleshoot and resolve system problems to minimize downtime.
- Network Management: Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across all sites.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce IT security policies, monitor and respond to security incidents, and manage antivirus, firewall, and other security systems.
- Backup & Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans, regularly testing procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes. Ensure all IT policies and procedures are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware and software procurement, support, and maintenance. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance IT services.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure IT systems and processes adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in system engineering or a similar role.
- Certifications: Basic knowledge required.
- Technical Skills:
- Protecting data, software, and hardware through effective planning and implementation.
- Configuring and testing computer hardware and operating system software.
- Replacing faulty hardware components as needed.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Understanding operating systems and their functionality.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting OS error codes.
- Knowledge of peripheral PC components and hardware.
- Proficiency in CAT6 crimping.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with potential for after-hours work, shift work, and weekend support as needed.
- May involve lifting and moving IT equipment.
