Gammastack - Senior Node.js Developer - Backend Technologies (3-6 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.

- Design, implement, and optimize database schemas in PostgreSQL.

- Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following best practices.

- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other team members to deliver seamless user experiences.

- Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance issues in applications and database queries.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for the backend system and database structures.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them to improve the development process.

Required Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Node.js with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.

- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, optimization, and writing complex SQL queries.

- Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSocket, and third-party API integrations.

- Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git.

- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.

- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a collaborative team environment.
