- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical lead to join our team, who brings expertise in undertaking
- Pricing Analytics for the pharmaceutical / life sciences domain. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market share of pharma companies. This role involves analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to make data-driven pricing decisions.
Roles and Responsibilities summary:
Stakeholder management and leadership:
- Lead and guide the team to implement and deliver complex project assignments
- Establish partnerships with key stakeholders such as Sales, RD&A, Procurement, Strategic
- Pricing Managers, etc. to ensure an efficient and effective pricing process
Pricing Operations and Customer Pricing:
- Collaborate with Global and Local Pricing teams, and Sales and Portfolio teams, to coordinate pricing proposals and opportunities
- Continuously refine pricing processes by incorporating feedback from both internal and external stakeholders
- Develop price guidance, metrics, and product cost analysis and perform gross margin analysis at local and global levels
- Responsible for timely price setting / maintenance / support spanning across full product life cycle
- Provide pricing recommendations to sales groups with supporting analysis for price negotiations
- Monitor, protect and improve price margins
- Accurately interpret and properly implement pricing policies and guidelines
- Ensure service levels on turnaround for quotes, invoicing and pricing discrepancies along with other relevant KPIs are performing to target
Advanced Analytics and Pricing Simulations:
- Perform detailed pricing analytics including price elasticity studies, geographic / regional behavior analysis, discount trends, price bell curve analysis, and price-volume-mix effects
- Leverage advanced analytics to simulate pricing scenarios and assess impacts on profitability and market competitiveness for at-launch as well as post-launch support
Process Improvement and Efficiency:
- Drive continuous improvements in pricing processes, ensuring efficient and effective execution
- Transform data and lead conversations / presentations to various audiences
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to resolve costing and pricing issues within the system
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain and monitor the pricing repository, identifying opportunities for system enhancements
- Ensure Data maintenance and quality in all pricing processes and systems
- Produce comprehensive data analysis reports and actionable insights to guide business decisions
Core competencies:
- Technical Skills: Advanced excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Tableau / PowerBI, Hands on experience in R / Python / SAS would be an advantage
- Domain knowledge in life sciences and healthcare, with working knowledge of various datasets used in the pharmaceutical industry
- Life sciences domain knowledge (4+ years)
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Market Access and Pricing Analyst or in a similar role, ideally within an MNC in a B2B environment, handling a diverse pharma product portfolio
- Strong understanding of pricing strategies, optimization techniques, and experience with margin analysis and price-volume-mix
- Proficiency in working with ERP systems, business intelligence systems, CRM systems and Pricing systems
- Data Analysis, Descriptive Analysis and Ability to handle large volumes of data for ad-hoc analysis and standard business reporting
- Ability to perform analysis, identify trends and insights and translate into actionable insights (analytical, quantitative and qualitative)
- Advanced data analysis skills and the ability to solve data problems
- Skilled in building and utilizing financial models
- Experience of working with offshore / onshore teams
- Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks
- Good client communications (verbal and written)
