GalaxEyeSpace, is a deep-tech Space start-up spun off from IIT-Madras and is currentlybased in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We are dedicated to advancing the frontiers ofspace exploration. Our mission is to develop cutting-edge solutions thataddress the challenges of the modern space industry by specialising indeveloping a constellation of miniaturised, multi-sensor SAR+EO satellites.
Our new age technology enables all-time,all-weather imaging, this with leveraging advanced processing and AIcapabilities, we ensure near real-time data delivery and are glad to highlightthat we have successfully demonstrated these imaging capabilities, the first ofits kind in the world, across various platforms such as Drones as well as HAPS(High-Altitude Pseudo Satellites).
This role will contribute towards the development of Mission Design Software and Ground Segment Software that will be responsible for designing, analyzing, monitoring, controlling and coordinating activities of our satellite constellation. Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain code/software for Constellation design optimization
Simulation study and analysis of the operation of the Satellite and its subsystems in space with the main focus on optimizing the utility of the GalaxEyesatellites
Implement design specifications into modular, scalable and maintainable code
Take end-to-end ownership of the software development from design through implementation, testing and deployment
Collaborate with other satellite subsystems to understand effectively, collate and translate their design and specifications into a simulation that digitally mimics the satellite system.
Requirements
Qualification
Education: B.Tech / B.E / MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science or equivalent Skills/Requirements:
Mission design and orbit simulation experience using software tools (STK, FreeFlyer, Orekit, GMAT etc.) or custom software is preferred
Good communications skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong programming skills in at least one high level programming language (Python preferred)
Ability to understand, break down, and solve complex problems independently
Knowledgeable in numerical optimization theory and techniques.
Knowledge of the following Development tools is a plus
Git and Version control (with Gitlab/Github)
