Job Description: Digital Forensics Consultant
Position Overview:
ARDC (www.ardcindia.org) is seeking a skilled and passionate Digital Forensics
Consultant to manage its state-of-the-art Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity Lab. The
consultant will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the lab, including
evidence collection, conducting audits, report preparation, and delivering training to
students and learners on a range of cutting-edge digital forensic tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lab Management:
o Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of digital forensics processes,
including evidence collection, chain of custody, and forensic analysis.
o Ensure proper documentation and compliance with forensic audit
standards.
2. Evidence Collection and Auditing:
o Collect, analyse, and preserve digital evidence from diverse sources such
as mobile devices, computers, social media, and dark web platforms.
o Conduct audits and prepare comprehensive forensic reports for
stakeholders.
3. Training and Mentorship:
o Deliver hands-on training sessions for students and learners on forensic
tools and methodologies.
o Train on tools such as mobile forensics, audio/video analysis, computer
and hard drive forensics, social media forensics, dark web investigation,
and deepfake analysis.
4. Technology Expertise and Process Development:
o Stay updated on the latest forensic tools, technologies, and trends.
o Develop and optimize lab processes for efficiency and reliability.
5. Collaboration and Reporting:
o Work collaboratively with academic teams to align forensic training with
curriculum needs.
o Generate detailed, structured reports for audits, evidence analysis, and
training outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background:
o Bachelors degree in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or Computer
Science Engineering. • Technical Expertise:
o Formal training or internship experience in digital forensic tools, including
but not limited to mobile, audio, video, computer, hard drive, social
media, dark web, and deepfake tools.
• Skills:
o Strong communication skills for delivering training and preparing reports.
o Excellent logical reasoning and analytical abilities.
