Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
2. Invoicing: Generate and issue invoices to customers promptly. Ensure invoices are accurate and comply with relevant regulations.
3. Cash Management: Manage cash flow efficiently, including handling petty cash, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining cash balance records.
4. Payment Processing: Process payments to vendors and suppliers in a timely manner. Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
5. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
6. Tax Compliance: File GST, TDS, and other tax returns accurately and on time. Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations.
7. Purchase Activities: Coordinate local purchase activities, including sourcing materials, obtaining quotes, and issuing purchase orders. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
8. Payroll Management: Manage payroll processing, including calculating salaries, deductions, and taxes. Ensure timely payment of salaries to employees.
9. Bank Coordination: Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions. Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to optimize working capital.
10. Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory authorities. Coordinate with the company's chartered accountant for financial audits and compliance matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com.) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime/ERP.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax laws.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new software and technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
