Fulcrum Digital - Erlang Developer - Functional Programming (4-8 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Erlang/OTP applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in Erlang applications.

- Optimize application performance and scalability.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Erlang/OTP technologies and industry trends.

- Contribute to the development of coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy and maintain applications in production environments.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong proficiency in Erlang/OTP programming language.

- In-depth understanding of functional programming paradigms and concurrent programming concepts.

- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.

- Knowledge of message queuing systems (RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, etc.)

- Familiarity with database technologies (not mandatory).

- Understanding of network protocols and security best practices.

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

- Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible).

- AWS certification or similar.

- Experience with security best practices and secure coding techniques.
