Obtain and inspect test plan and drawing documents. Plan and document the test sequence, also for special parts. Determine test equipment. Select special test equipment (e.g. special micrometers, gaug-es) and initiate procurement. Determine and define framework conditions for programming the equipment and for measuring different, complex workpieces with spatially difficult ge-ometries, shape and position tolerances. Create geometric data (dimen-sions, outlines, drilling patterns, etc.) for complex workpieces based on drawings. Calculate missing dimensions. Create measuring program (e.g. for 3D measuring machine), defining measuring sequence and tools (e.g. measuring probe). Simulate measuring sequence on screen, correct errors. Archive programs. Prepare equipment (e.g. set up universal measuring machine, assemblies or systems in the functional test bench). Testing parts, assemblies and systems Carry out tests (e.g. function, dimensional checks, surface quality, dimen-sional accuracy, chemical-physical composition). Check the interaction of individual components and assemblies to guarantee functionality. Carry out readjustments on individual components. Document and evaluate results. Recognize deviations. Replace faulty as-semblies and devices, label them and forward them with a description of the fault. Consult specialist departments in the event of recurring faults. Sug-gest design changes. Optimize test procedures. Create test report.
