PLC Developer (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, design, and implement PLC programs (Siemens, Rockwell, Allen-Bradley) for various industrial applications (material handling, packaging, process control).

- Develop and implement HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens and SCADA systems.

- Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs, identify and resolve software issues.

- Perform system integration and testing of PLC programs with other hardware and software components.

- Ensure the quality, reliability, and maintainability of all developed software.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and commissioning.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including software design specifications, test procedures, and user manuals.

- Adhere to industry standards and best practices for software development.

- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.

- Mentor and train team members on PLC programming techniques, software development tools, and industry best practices.

- Share knowledge and expertise with the team to foster continuous learning and development.

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in PLC technology, programming languages, and automation systems.

- Research and evaluate new technologies and tools for potential application in company projects.

- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal software development processes and standards.

Qualifications & Experience :

Experience : 7+ years of proven experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.

Skills :

- Expert knowledge of PLC programming languages (IEC 61131-3, Structured Text, Ladder Logic)

- Strong experience with at least one major PLC platform (Siemens, Rockwell, Allen-Bradley)

- In-depth knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP)

- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (WinCC, FactoryTalk View)

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable :

- Experience with cybersecurity in industrial automation

- Knowledge of database systems and SQL

- Project management experience
