Role Description :

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior SQL Database Administrator at FlairDeck in Gurugram. The Senior SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for database administration, replication, database design, troubleshooting, and managing databases on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.

- Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and index optimization.

- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.

- Implement and maintain database security measures.

- Design and implement efficient database schemas.

- Create and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

- Develop and implement data normalization and denormalization techniques.

- Configure and manage database replication environments (log shipping, replication, mirroring).

- Implement high availability solutions (failover clusters, Always On Availability Groups).

- Diagnose and resolve database performance issues.

- Troubleshoot database errors and exceptions.

- Identify and fix data integrity issues.

- Monitor and analyze database performance metrics.

- Implement performance tuning techniques (indexing, query optimization, partitioning).

- Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures.

- Monitor and audit database activity.

- Protect sensitive data through encryption and other security measures.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server database administration.

- Strong knowledge of SQL Server concepts, including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and performance tuning techniques.

- Experience with SQL Server replication, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.

- Experience with database design and normalization techniques.

- Proficiency in troubleshooting database performance issues.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
