Vice President Operations will aim at designing policies, overseeing customer service and implementing technology solutions at large. They are expected to be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind and have a broad knowledge of the business. Ultimately, they will ensure smooth running of the operations and people productivity.
Responsibilities
Design policies that align with the overall company strategy
Implement efficient processes and standards
Coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention
Ensure compliance with local and international laws (e.g., data protection)
Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization
Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders
Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts
Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits
Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
Report on operational performance and suggest improvements
Establishes and administers the department s budget
Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the CEO and other leadership
Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management
Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided
Performs other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Interviews, hires, and trains management-level staff in the department
Oversees the daily workflow of the department
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Required Skills and Abilities
Proven experience as Head of Operations, Operations Director or similar leadership role
Familiarity with all business functions including HR, finance, and IT
Experience with implementing IT systems
Knowledge of data analytics and reporting
Good with numbers and financial planning
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and leadership ability
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience and Educational Qualification
A minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in senior management required
Bachelor s degree in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, or similar industry-related field required
