Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
• Integrate data storage solutions, including databases, key-value stores, and blob stores
• Collaborate with front-end developers to connect user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Identify and address bottlenecks and bugs, implementing effective solutions
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation to ensure optimal performance

Skills:

• Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries like RSpec and Resque
• Strong understanding of Ruby syntax and nuances
• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles
• Proficiency in server-side templating languages, such as Liquid or Slim
• Familiarity with server-side CSS preprocessors like Sass
• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful concepts
• Ability to write clean, readable Ruby code
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into a unified system
• Knowledge of scalable application design principles
• Capability to create database schemas that support business processes
• Proficient in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git, Mercurial, or SVN
