Job Summary:
- We are looking for a highly skilled Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee the company's financial operations, accounting processes, and reporting.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting.
- The role requires a strong background in finance, accounting, and leadership to effectively guide the finance team and support the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Analyze financial results, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports and make recommendations for improvements in financial performance.
- Oversee and manage the financial close process, ensuring that all deadlines are met and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts in collaboration with other departments.
- Monitor and track actual financial performance against the budget, providing variance analysis and corrective actions.
- Provide strategic recommendations on cost optimization and revenue enhancement opportunities to help the company achieve its financial goals.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Oversee the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to payment terms.
- Ensure proper documentation for all transactions, including receipts, invoices, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers to ensure timely payments and collections.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards (local and international).
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure the company's financial statements are audited and filed accurately and on time.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to financial policies and procedures across the organization.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor the company's cash flow, ensuring there are sufficient funds to meet operational needs while optimizing cash reserves.
- Prepare cash flow projections and manage cash requirements to support business operations and growth.
- Oversee the management of banking relationships, credit lines, and investments.
Tax Management:
- Ensure accurate preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Provide tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and communicate their impact to senior management.
Team Management & Development:
- Lead and supervise the finance and accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring effective workload distribution and meeting of deadlines.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and development.
Financial Systems & Process Improvement:
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems (e., ERP, accounting software, etc. ) to improve financial operations and reporting.
- Identify areas for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and recommend improvements to accounting and financial processes.
Management Reporting & Presentations:
- Prepare and present financial information to the senior leadership team, highlighting key financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing accurate, data-driven financial analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure that all financial documents are properly prepared for board meetings, executive presentations, and investor relations.
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Support the management in setting long-term financial goals and strategies for the organization.
- Evaluate the financial viability of business opportunities, investments, and capital expenditure decisions.
- Assist in risk management by assessing the financial implications of business decisions, contracts, and new projects
