Web Content Specialist

What you will be doing:

Overview: Support multiple brand sites by designing and assisting in developing the visual user interface on the Magento platform, utilizing front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a visually appealing, user-friendly shopping experience while adhering to Magento specific customization guidelines and best practices.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Manage, execute and optimize web site enhancements including product loads, store locations, shopping cart and page banners, on-site search, digital content and more
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams and development partners to manage end-to-end test execution and successful website rollouts, ensuring strategies are aligned, brand guides followed, assets created, and budgets and deadlines met
• Build test plans and perform user acceptance testing, end-to-end and regression testing to ensure successful roll out of new site enhancements
• Create and submit project requests and user stories and other relevant content to build website experiences

Technical Capabilities:

• Theme Customization: Designing and customizing Magento themes to match brand aesthetics, including layout, color schemes, and typography.
• Responsive Design: Ensuring website displays optimally across different devices (desktops, tablets, mobile phones) by implementing responsive design principles.
• User Interface Development: Building interactive elements like product carousels, navigation menus, search bars, and checkout pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• JavaScript Integration: Implementing advanced JavaScript functionality for dynamic interactions, product filtering, and enhanced user experience.
• Performance Optimization: Optimizing front-end code to improve website loading speed and performance.
• SEO Considerations: Implementing best practices for on-page SEO, including meta tags and structured data within the front-end code.
• Magento Framework Expertise: Understanding Magento's front-end architecture, templating system, and specific components to effectively customize the store.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Front-End Development: Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and potentially preprocessors like Sass or Less
• Magento Experience: Strong understanding of Magento 2 platform, including its front-end components and customization options
• Responsive Design: Knowledge of responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation)
• JavaScript Libraries: Familiarity with JavaScript libraries like jQuery or other modern frameworks
• UX Design Principles: Understanding of user interface design principles to create intuitive and user-friendly experiences
• Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ability to test and ensure consistent website appearance across different browsers
