CAD Design Engineer (Solidworks)

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a CAD Design Engineer (Solidworks) at Hopcharge. As a CAD Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating engineering drawings, performing design engineering tasks, utilizing Solidworks software, and contributing to mechanical engineering and product design projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of design projects.

Basic Qualifications

• Proficiency in Engineering Drawings, Design Engineering, and Computer-Aided Design (Solidworks)
• Strong background in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in product design and development
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Solidworks software
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Top Skill Set looking for :

• Minimum of 3 years of proficiency in SolidWorks, including expertise in 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings. Strong knowledge of industry standards in design, particularly in Ingress Protection (IP) and heat management solutions (thermal simulation)
• Deep understanding of plastic moulding, sheet metal fabrication, with the ability to effectively communicate design and drawing requirements to vendors, maintaining strong relationships throughout the fabrication.
• Ability to create detailed and accurate technical drawings in SolidWorks, adhering to project requirements and industry standards.
• Must have completed at least one product design with an IP67 or higher rating. Experience related to EV chargers, EV batteries, and electrical power distribution panels is an added advantage
• Ability to maintain product revision control and documentation using Excel and MS Office, as well as to maintain and update CAD libraries.
