Deputy Manager - Finance
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and budgets to align with business objectives.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Provide insightful financial forecasts and projections to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Control and Risk Management:
- Implement robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure optimal utilization of working capital.
- Manage and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, foreign exchange risk, and operational risk.
- Conduct regular internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to financial regulations and policies.
Cost Accounting and Management:
- Oversee the development and implementation of cost accounting systems and standards.
- Analyze and optimize cost structures to improve profitability.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across various functions.
- Conduct variance analysis to understand cost deviations and take corrective actions.
Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Manage tax audits and assessments, and represent the company before tax authorities.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations and advise the business on tax implications of various transactions.
Team Management and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Identify training needs and implement development plans to enhance team capabilities.
Business Partnership:
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their financial needs and provide strategic insights.
- Support business initiatives by providing financial analysis and recommendations.
- Drive financial discipline and accountability across the organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Advanced knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards (GAAP/Ind AS).
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
- MBA (Finance) Full-time or CA.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
