As a SEO Director you will be responsible for leading and executing advanced SEO strategies to drive organic traffic, increase rankings, and improve overall online visibility for our clients. You will work closely with the performance marketing team, including PPC, content, and social media experts, to develop integrated strategies that maximize return on investment. This role requires in-depth SEO expertise, a data-driven mindset, and a passion for innovation in the ever-changing landscape of search engine algorithms and performance marketing.
Responsibilities:
1. SEO Strategy & Execution:
- Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies for multiple clients across various industries.
- Help team in conducting in-depth keyword research, competitive analysis, and website audits to identify opportunities for organic growth.
- Optimize on-page and off-page elements, including technical SEO, content optimization, meta tags, link building, and mobile performance.
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented in writing, editing, and content publishing processes.
2. Technical SEO:
- Lead technical audits to ensure best practices for site architecture, crawlability, indexability, and load speed.
- Implement structured data, rich snippets, and schema markups to enhance SERP visibility.
- Work with web development teams to ensure technical SEO is incorporated into website updates and migrations.
3. Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Utilize tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and other SEO software to monitor and analyze SEO performance.
- Develop SOPs for providing detailed, data-driven reports on organic traffic trends, keyword rankings, conversion rates, and key SEO metrics.
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations to continually optimize SEO performance.
4. Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with PPC and paid media teams to develop holistic strategies that balance organic and paid search efforts.
- Set monthly, quarterly & yearly goals & KPIs for the team & take accountability for the team's achievement of the set targets.
- Mentor and train junior SEO team members, providing guidance on best practices and industry trends.
- Lead client meetings and presentations, offering expert insights on SEO strategies, trends, and progress.
- Handle any major client communications including but not limited to escalations.
5. Stay Updated with Industry Trends:
- Stay on top of search engine algorithm updates and emerging SEO trends to ensure strategies remain cutting-edge and compliant.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to understand their SEO strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
1. Proven experience (7+ years) in SEO, with a focus on performance marketing and driving measurable results with at least 4 years of experience in team handling & client relationship management.
2. Deep understanding of SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
3. Strong technical SEO skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems (CMS).
4. Experience with local SEO, mobile SEO, and international SEO strategies.
5. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
6. Exceptional written & oral communication and presentation skills.
7. Experience managing a team and mentoring junior SEO specialists.
8. Knowledge of PPC, social media, and content marketing is a plus.
9. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
10. Experience working in a performance marketing agency or a fast-paced digital marketing environment.
11. Familiarity with automation tools, data layers, and tag management solutions.
12. Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple client accounts simultaneously.
