Job Description

Role: Head of Sales - North & Central India

Base Location: Nagpur (Head Office)


The Head of Sales (North & Central India) will lead the sales operations team, ensuring high productivity, engagement, and performance. This role will oversee the onboarding, management, and expansion of relationships with channel partners across the North and Central regions of India.

The ideal candidate will develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, strengthen partnerships, and implement key initiatives to drive revenue growth. Strong people management skills are essential, as this role involves mentoring, motivating, and developing a high-performing sales team. This leadership role requires a strong strategic vision, exceptional relationship management skills, and the and a results-driven approach to accelerate business success in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand the sales distribution channel network by identifying, onboarding, and nurturing channel partners to drive sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with existing channel partners, ensuring their continued growth and alignment with business objectives.
  • Create and implement strategic initiatives to identify and onboard new partners, providing them with the necessary support, resources, and training to enhance their performance.
  • Develop and execute market-driven sales strategies that align with business priorities and establish measurable implementation plans.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, including new market segments, partnerships, and business development initiatives to drive revenue expansion.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance of channel partners using key sales, revenue, and performance metrics to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Lead and manage the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture through mentorship, coaching, and professional development to drive engagement and results.
  • Resolve conflicts and challenges within the channel by proactively addressing partner concerns and ensuring seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and product teams, to ensure a cohesive sales strategy and customer-centric approach.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in channel sales, distribution, or B2B sales.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive business growth.
  • Exceptional people management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to drive informed decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience in handling partner networks and sales operations across a large region.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum experience 15 years in relevant field
  • Education: Any graduate / post graduate
  • Preferred Industry/Domain: Paint / Putty / Construction material / Cement preferred
