Technical Sales Engineer
What you will do
The Technical Sales Engineer is a go-to technical resource for the India sales team, helping to make prospects successful through live assistance, behind the scenes support and education
A Technical Sales Engineer relies on their technical expertise to effectively explain and apply technical concepts and integrations with 3rd party and other client systems, to both prospects and teammates
You will:
Be the go-to internal technical resource for the go-to-market team, educating team members, as well as prospects, by providing a consistent and positive experience
Use your in-depth product knowledge and technical skills to suggest and potentially develop product solutions for prospects
Act with urgency and precision to give users best-in-class presales support in troubleshooting issues as they arise
Solve problems manually first and then collaborate with Product Management to proactively feedback and improve the product and customer experience over time
Work in conjunction with the sales team as a key technical advisor and advocate for the platform while mapping value to the prospect's needs
Develop and deliver engaging demonstrations in collaboration with our Sales, Marketing and Training Teams to both business and technical users
Partner with Product Marketing on effective strategies to manage and deliver demonstrations, maintain demo environments, and respond to RFPs
Present to prospects, customers and partners, at external events, conferences, seminars, etc,
Responsibilities:
Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to partners and customers and at other field events such as conferences, seminars, etc, that require more in-depth or credible knowledge than the salesperson can provide
Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
Engage with the partners and customer to plan, design and execute Proof of Value & Concepts
Collaborate with Product Management to provide feedback from clients about product requirements, and ideas to help innovate or stay ahead of the market
Travel required as needed, within SAARC region and APAC regional office (Singapore)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including an ability to think ‘on their feet’ when faced with challenging questions in the sales environment
Experience managing the bid or proposal process including responding to RFI’s/RFP’s
Experience in EDR, anti-APT solution, threat intelligence services preferred
Excellent team / autonomous work capabilities
Technical skills with Security products such as:
Security assessments of network infrastructure, hosts and applications – an element of risk management
DLP, AV and anti-malware – an understanding of the tools used to protect the organization
Backup and recovery solution – basic understanding on how backup and recovery solution works
TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching – an understanding of the fundamentals: the language, protocol and functioning of the internet
Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems on which most of the business world runs
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar
2-3years years of pre-sales experience with security software offerings is a must
Demonstrated success in pre-sales/consulting role preferred
Ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical personnel
Project management and technical writing experience
