Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and highly talented Senior Android Developer who is an expert in designing, building, debugging, and maintaining Android-based applications. If you are skilled in these areas and meet all the requirements mentioned below, then this might be the perfect fit for you.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of the new UBS Mobile Banking
- Code and deploy new features to production
- Work with external data sources and APIs
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency
- Provide technical solutions and ensure adherence to good software practices
- Collaborate with UX designers, architects, back-end development teams, and QA to deliver a high-quality product
- Create, manage and automate continuous testing of the features you deliver
- Contribute to the success of Mobile Excellence in UBS as part of a strong international team
- 5+ years of native Android (Java, Kotlin) development experience
- A graduate degree in IT Software Engineering
- Fundamental experience in designing secure, robust and scalable applications
- Positive attitude and a strong interest in shaping the future of technology in banking
- Familiarity with design principles
- Knowledge of Version Control Systems (Git)
- Understanding of Google s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Experience in test-driven development, continuous integration, and deployment
- Showcase of high creativity in designing user-friendly applications
- Competency as a strong software engineer with a high dedication to app development
- Proficiency as an excellent team player
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues in English
- Analytical skills with the capability to tackle complex challenges in software engineering
