Role & responsibilities
Job Summary:
The General Manager (GM) of the Fitness Equipment Company is responsible for overseeing the overall business operations, including the sales, marketing, operations, finance, and product development. This role will lead the strategic planning and execution of business growth initiatives, ensuring the company fitness equipment products meet the highest standards while also expanding market share and profitability. The GM will work closely with various teams to optimize operational efficiency and provide leadership to all levels of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Management
Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team across various departments (sales, marketing, customer service, operations, product development, and finance).
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence within the organization.
Establish and implement organizational goals, objectives, and policies to enhance operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Develop and implement training programs to ensure all staff are aligned with the company goals and product knowledge.
2. Sales & Marketing Strategy
Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to increase market share in the fitness equipment sector.
Collaborate with marketing teams to design effective advertising campaigns, promotions, and digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.
Monitor customer feedback and market trends to adjust strategies and ensure competitive advantage.
Operations Management
Manage day-to-day operations, including inventory management, supply chain logistics, and production schedules.
Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
Ensure that all departments work together cohesively to meet deadlines and achieve company objectives.
5. Financial Management & Budgeting
Oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure that financial targets are met, and profitability is maximized without compromising product quality.
Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction.
6. Customer Relations & Service
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained and resolve escalated customer issues promptly.
Oversee post-sales service and warranty programs to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
7. Strategic Planning & Reporting
Develop long-term strategic plans for business growth and expansion.
Monitor performance against set goals and provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
Analyze market conditions and competitor activity to identify opportunities for new business and product offerings.
