Role & responsibilities
1. Sales Planning & Execution:
Achieve sales targets through effective secondary sales planning and executing it at the retailers level.
Ensure adequate product mix and coverage of the mart and grocers, overseeing inventory management to meet demand and maintain fill rates.
Manage distributor and sub-stockist relationships to optimize credit, stock management, and primary/secondary sales flow.
Identify new business opportunities within the region, expand the customer base, and work towards improving market share.
3. Operational Management:
Implement Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives to drive efficient market coverage, product placement, and visibility at key retail outlets.
Conduct trade marketing campaigns in collaboration with marketing teams, including product launches and re-launches to enhance market penetration.
Analyze performance metrics weekly, comparing targets vs. actual achievements, and support sales representatives in meeting assigned quotas.
Develop and foster strong relationships with key retailers and marts, ensuring satisfaction, engagement, and long-term partnership building.
Address and resolve retailer complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering strong relationships.
Act as a point of contact for any issues raised, providing solutions and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Manage and coach a team of Market Representatives (MRs), providing them with regular on-the-job training to enhance their performance and ensure they meet their sales targets.
Oversee the daily activities of MRs, monitor their performance, and ensure they follow Target plans for in-store execution, product positioning, and distributor management.
Skills Required:
1. Strong ability to drive primary and secondary sales.
2. Expertise in negotiation with distributors, stockists, and retailers to ensure business growth.
3. Effective leadership and coaching skills to manage, guide, and train a team of Medical Representatives (MRs).
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to resolve retailer and consumer complaints effectively and foster long-term relationships.
5. Ability to engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders across urban, rural, and wholesale sectors.
6. Ability to analyze sales trends, identify growth opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
7. Strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and market demands.
8. In-depth understanding of market dynamics in urban, rural, and wholesale sectors.
9. Ability to strategize and implement sales plans to meet regional targets and grow market share.
10. Proficiency in preparing and presenting sales reports, performance metrics, and market insights to senior management.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
1. Willing to relocate across Headquarters/cities in any state at short notice.
2. Immediate joiners preferred.
3. MBA from Tier 2 /Tier 3 colleges will be preferred.
4. FMCG background is a must
