The Opportunity:

Eggs are nature's perfect nutrition and can solve for India's nutrition problem. However, out of 40 Crore eggs consumed daily in India, more than 97% are sold in loose and unpackaged format. Indian egg industry is largely unorganized at the backend as well as the frontend. A typical egg in India takes8-10 days to reach a retail counter by the time it is not fresh and has lost nutrition values (by more than 50% as per research). With non-fresh eggs, there is a funny egg smell and runny texture of yolk and albumen, which is very common with Indian eggs. Farmers make thin margins and are dependenton unorganized trader and wholesalers. Due to low incomes and lack of knowledge, there is heavy usage of anti- bioticsand chemicals in poultry feed that causes long-term health issues.

Eggoz is building a brand of eggs in a $12 Billion egg consumption market which is growing at rapidly at 15% annually. With growing demand for hygienic and branded foods, Eggoz is striving to build the largest branded egg company and organize the egg sector. Eggoz aims to be the 'Amul for Eggs'. It aims to deliver superior nutrition with sustainable farming, aim at better income for farmers and strive for 24- hour freshness 'chicken to plate', thereby holistically attempting to solve the current challenges in the industry.

The business model is asset-light and tech-first where farmers are on boarded to an integrated platform, which includes poultry feed & nutrition integration using only herbal ingredients, and bird management technology to improve farmer income.

Eggoz is leading and fastest growing brand of eggs. Its products are available in Omni-channel retail in 5 major metro cities and nearby non-metro towns. In the next phase, Eggoz aspires to become a household brand. It is looking to scale the brand and platform to rest of the country and build the largest national brand of eggs. Job Summary:

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) professional will play a pivotal role in managing financial performance, driving profitability, and supporting strategic business decisions in the egg industry. This position will focus on business finance, forecasting, budgeting, performance tracking, and providing actionable insights to optimize operations and enhance revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with the company's growth strategy.

- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics such as feed costs, production efficiency, distribution expenses, and sales volumes.

- Prepare detailed variance analyses to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts.

2. Business Finance Support:

- Partner with business leaders (e.g., production, supply chain, procurement sales, and marketing) to understand operations, assess financial implications, and improve profitability.

- Analyze production costs, and inventory management to optimize cost structures.

- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of market changes, including cost volatility and demand fluctuations.

3. Financial Reporting and Decision Support:

- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.

- Provide actionable insights on cost optimization, revenue generation, and capital allocation for business units.

- Collaborate with operations to analyze yields, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.

4. Strategic Initiatives:

- Support new initiatives like capacity expansion, automation, or new product development.

- Perform investment appraisals, ROI analysis, and feasibility studies for capital expenditures and new ventures.

- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments that may impact the egg industry.

5. Continuous Process Improvement:

- Develop tools, models, and systems to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.

- Streamline financial processes and implement best practices for reporting and analysis.

Candidate Skills & Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant.

- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in finance or accounting roles,.

- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and reporting standards.

- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
